It's Sweetcorn Time!

We LOVE Sweetcorn....especially when we can get it right in our backyard. Tonight was our first picking and it was soooo yummy! The kids each ate 3 ears. August is a busy month for the garden. We will be enjoying it at every meal and putting some yummy food away for the Winter.

The Daddy Race

We had supper on Sunday night with our friends Jeff and Molly and their 3 kids. Jeff is Josh's best friend from growing up. The Dads organized a kid race....so we thought it appropriate that the Dads race too!! Josh says Jeff was always faster than him in high school, and I think Jeff won this race by a hair. I won't say how the Mommy race turned out...let's just say that a mom was almost tackled and a kid was almost trampled!

Mommy is 32!!

Me and my kids on my birthday! I have been blessed with great kids! They are sooo fun!!! Each one has a different personality and each has a joy for life that is contagious. This is my eighth year in the journey of being a stay at home mom--eventhough sometimes I feel burnt out and ready to throw in the towel, God reminds me daily that HE is the source of my strength, HE is my purpose, and HE is who I should trust. Lord, THANK YOU for Caden, Macy, Julia, and Noelle! Help me to show them how to love You and others.

A day at Grandma Eunice's House

We spent a day at Grandma Eunice's house. Josh's cousin Kristen and her two boys, Jack and Ben, are here visiting this week. We had not seen Kristen for 3-4 years and we'd never met Ben! It was a full house and a fun time!

Pet Frogs

Meet Croak and Hopper....Croaky and Croaket did not get their picture taken and Stuart got away. Yes, at one time we had 5 frogs in a bucket!

SOLD!

One last look at our Reinbeck house....Friday, July 10th 9:00 AM we CLOSE on this property! The buyer is a young family with two small kids--we are positive that they will love the quiet life of this acreage. We are thankful for God's timing and faithfulness to us during our move to Southern Iowa. Praise the Lord...Oh My Soul...Praise the Lord!!!

Ottumwa Beach

This crew had a ball at Ottumwa Beach today! My friend Joy lives 20 minutes North of Ottumwa and I live 20 minutes South of Ottumwa, so we met in the middle for the afternoon. Joy is the mom of 4 boys--all close in age to our kids. Joy and I enjoy hanging out, because our mommy worlds are so similar!
