So Big, So Little!

Our little Julia has been waiting for this big day for a long time! I think she has been asking to go to Pre-School for at least a year and a half! Well, today I dropped her off. She said to me, "Mom, I will not be bossy to kids." And in the next breath she smiles and says, "Mom, I WILL take a toy away from another kid!" Yep, these are things I am constantly working on at home with this girl! She is quite the child!

We stopped at the Lumberyard on our way so Daddy could see her. She was all big stuff, until she got to Dad. She gave him the biggest hug I've ever seen.

We Love You, Julia! You are a precious child, full of personality. We hate giving you up during the day, but we know you will thrive in your new adventure!

Noelle was giving us these eyes the whole morning. I think she missed her playmate!
I guess she had better get used to it. She has 3 more years with mom.

Off and Running!!

Seriously, my kids were running to get onto that School Bus on Tuesday. They are probably tired of working at the Lumberyard (school is a vacation compared to Mom and Dad's world!). Caden has already started learning cursive this week. The teacher told him that good athletes are good at cursive, so he is giving it his ALL! Macy seems extra tired and says her class is a little rowdy, the weekend will be good for her. I can't believe how big these two are...they definately were ready for 3rd and 1st grade!

Momma Got A Hair-Do!

I had Julia take my picture so that I could show you my new hair! Love it, Love it! I can't wait to do my hair in the morning with this haircut! About 6 inches cut off and all natural curl. So much fun! I am excited, can you tell! I have never, EVER liked a haircut!! Caden said to me, "I bet Dad just can't quit lookin' at you!" Awwww.....

A pile of Girls....

...AND CADEN!!! This family is our longest standing friends of our married life! We met Eich and Dixie in rural Delta, IA 14 years ago (while Josh and I were dating!). Through lots of changes over these years, including 8 kids between us, we have remained faithful friends and sharing life in all sorts of ways! Pulaski Lumber was fortunate to get to deliver the roofing materials for their church, so we included a family supper in the delivery (rain dampered the delivery, but not the supper!). This is a super fun farm family. We cherish their friendship and look forward to sharing life with them-probably forever!

Cool Verses!

God's Word is so Cool! Seriously, if you do not spend time in God's Word I encourage you to take some time out of your busy life to do it! You will not regret it and your life will reap the benefits! I have been so addicted lately to what His Word has to say to me. Here is some (just a glimpse) of what He has had to say to me this summer:

2 Chronicles 16:9
For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

Galatians 6:9
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

James 4:3
When you ask, you do not receive because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. (WHOA! This was a kick in the pants for me!)

James 1:12
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

1 Cor. 16: 13-14
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in Love.

Heb. 10:35
Do not throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded.

(Love this one!)
Psalm 144:1
Praise be to the Lord, My Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.

(Love this one, too!)
Psalm 112: 7-8
She will have no fear of bad news, her heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Her heart is secure, she will have no fear; in the end she will look in triumph on her foes.

Canoeing

We borrowed Josh's Grandma's canoe tonight and took it for a ride on the pond. We caught a couple of fish and just hung out. Such a nice summer evening! Hope you are enjoying these last days of Summer!!

STL

Josh, Caden, Macy, and I took an overnight trip to St. Louis to see the Cardinals play. We had a fantastic time~

Hot dogs and cotton candy scored big!

We did some school shopping at the mall. We told Macy she needed to go to the Macy's store. As she was walking through it she says, "Yep, JuJu would love this store!" I think a little too uptown and classy for Macy's taste!

These air filled balls were fun!

They made it!

The chics are growing and have been easy to care for thus far. Tonight they got moved from a box in the garage to the official "chicken house" that Josh built last winter. It seems big for the little things, but they were trying to fly out of the box so we'll see how this goes.
