Laying Low

The boys watch Star Wars on the computer (our 6 month old TV had to be sent off to be fixed -- we don't recommend anyone buy an RCA). Josh is on the recovery end of a week long nasty virus. A fever, no appetite, head/neck pain has had him wiped out for an entire week. He has watched several movies on the computer. What's the chance - the week he doesn't leave the couch the TV goes black. I guess the Lord always has a way to show us what is really important! We are thankful for time to lay low as a family. We take health and each other for granted so easily.

The girls decided to paint their nails. Macy says, "Mom, I am actually doing something GIRLY!". The younger girls eat it up when Macy takes charge of an activity with them.

Looking back over the past week, we definately see Gods hand at work in our household and prayers answered. With a very contagious virus in the house, 5 of us have remained healthy, the business has run as usual without Josh's presence, several have stepped up to the plate to care for our kids when we've needed it. I have been so stretched by taking care of my sick hubby and dealing with the rest of the household, that being in the Word fell off of my priority list the whole last week. I realized this on Saturday and opened up my Bible and this is what I read..."Stand in Awe of God" (Ecc. 5:7). Eventhough at the time it didn't seem to apply to me, it has stuck with me. Today as I have a feeling of "Whew" we made it through that and my Josh's health is being restored back to normal, I can see why I was told to Stand in Awe of HIM! HE is our awesome God...a God of healing, comfort, peace, joy, faithfulness, love..etc...HE is worthy of all our praise!
